Christmas On Broadway!

The Productions Company is putting on a fabulous musical revue: Christmas on Broadway! You can see the show the 9th, 10th, and 13th of December at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased from any member of the Productions Company or at the door. This is a fantastic way to get into the Christmas spirit with some amazing Christmas music! You will not want to miss this!

The Music Man Social!

On Friday November 19th following the performance of The Music Man there will be a fantastic social for everyone in the drama department! There will be dessert and socializing and we will announce the October Dramatist of the Month! Be sure to plan for this awesome activity!

Shakespeare Final Parent Letter

Dear Parents/Guardians,

On Thursday October 7, 2010, we will be departing for the 2010 High School Shakespeare Competition in Cedar City.  I am writing this note to give you information on the trip.  You will find an itinerary on the back of this note.

We will depart Lone Peak high school Thursday morning at 7:45 AM.  We will  return on Saturday evening and arrive back to Lone Peak between 12:30 AM and 1:30 AM.  We will be staying at the Holiday Inn Express located at 1555 South Old Highway 91, Cedar City, UT 84720 (435-865-7799).

In addition to personal items your student will need to bring money for food.  The hotel will provide a continental breakfast each morning, and I will be providing dinner on Thursday night.  Students will be on their own for lunch and dinner Friday and Saturday.  I would recommend that students bring approximately $ 5.00 for each meal they will be eating.

Improv Troupe Auditions!

For everyone interested in improv, particularly those who want to be a part of the Lone Peak 2010 Improv Troupe, note that auditions for the troupe will be held Friday Oct 1, 2010 in Mr. Smith's room during lunch. Please come even if you do not want to audition so those auditioning can have an audience. Also, if you do come, ONLY participate in the games if you are auditioning. If you are not auditioning, be supportive, enthusiastic audience members.

Sydney's Recovery

As many of you know one of our drama family members, Sydney, was in a car accident on Friday. She is currently in recovery and you can find out all about it at sydneys-journey.blogspot.com.  There will also be a fast held for her on Thursday September 23, 2010. Please join us and keep Sydney in your prayers.

Improv Meeting!

Improv meetings will start Friday September 10, 2010 during lunch in Mr. Smith's room. This meeting is semi-mandatory. If you are interested in being in the Improv Troupe or just being involved with Improv you should try your hardest to be at this meeting. If you are unable to attend, do not be discouraged! We still want you to come! Our Improv Captain will give the rules and regulations and welcome everyone who comes. Improv meetings will continue every Friday during lunch for the year.

Shakespeare Auditions

Audition Notice

If you are interested in joining Shakespeare team, auditions are Thursday September 2. Sign up in front of Mr. Smith's room, room #106, for a time slot. Please come prepared with no longer than a 60 sec Shakespearean monologue. If you have any questions talk to Mr Smith in room #106.

The Music Man Auditions

Audition Notice

Auditions will be held for The Music Man on August 30th - September 3rd.  Singing auditions will be Monday August 30th and Tuesday August 31st.  Please sign up for a time slot outside room 106 and come prepared to sing 16 bars of a Broadway song.  An accompanist will be provided, or a CD player will be available.  You will also need to attend the dance auditions on Wednesday September 1st right after school.  Callbacks will be Friday September 3 and will be by invitation only.  If you have any questions, please see Mr. Smith in Room 106.
